The legendry Graphic Artist, Mr. Milton Glaser is willing to do the cover for this book.

A photographic book with minimal text and especially close to my heart. It tells the tale of the poor and overlooked population living inside the developed countries, starting with the United States and Canada and continuing into other countries. The pictures of poverty in the richest and most powerful nations on earth speak for themselves.

I was inspired to write and photograph this book by an incident that happened to me personally while returning from my visit to New York City. I saw unbelievable numbers of homeless people in the "City That Never Sleeps" or feels guilt, apparently. Around the corner from people spending millions on mansions and a life of luxury are others struggling to stay alive on the streets through a cold winter night or hot summer day. Countless children perpetuate the cycle; unable to stay in school because they have no address and inadequate clothing and food.

When it started snowing on my way to Kennedy Airport I asked the taxi driver, who happened to be a fellow Muslim, to stop so I could spare my umbrella to a homeless man trying to relocate from one corner to the next. The driver laughed at me and refused to stop, saying I was crazy to think a homeless man needed or wanted an umbrella. I was shocked by his coldheartedness and scolded him that he must not know what it is like to be poor and that while he sat in his warm cab and laughed, that man may not make it through the night.

Right there, I determined to produce a book that not only shows the rich, the beautiful and tourist attractions but the poor, the ugly and the areas that most people don't want to see and the street and don't have food to eat, it is not just their problem. It is our problem too because we are all from the same parents. We are called humans.

My Pet Friend, Mr. Nightingale—One and Two-- (Two children’s books)

Based on a true story, it is a tale of a small bird that became my best friend when I was a child. An enjoyable story for children to learn not only to love and respect others, it also portrays beautifully a closeness and love for birds. It is a unique approach to teach children about personal manners and love for their best pet friends.

"...this remarkable work by an Iranian expatriate is a must read for everyone concerned about the Middle East and the threat of world terrorism."
